2020 Ball Season and COVID-19
Hello baseball families! The Nelson Park Softball Executive Board members all hope you are staying safe and healthy during these crazy times. For those of you who are frontline workers, we truly thank you for all that you are doing for your community.
Like all of you, we still have many questions regarding the potential of a 2020 season. As there has not yet been any direction or firm answers provided from our provincial and local government regarding organized youth sports, we unfortunately have no further answers at this time. Rest assured, once we do hear about a potential allowance of sports this summer, we will be speaking amongst each other and determining our next course of action as an association.
Should the season not be able to proceed, those that have registered with us for the 2020 season will have the option of requesting a refund, or your registration fees can be put towards our next season. It will be your choice and should we need to cross that path, will have further clarification and direction.
Lastly, as we are a not-for-profit organization, we rely heavily on fundraising to make our season run. We were speaking earlier in the off-season of having a bottle drive at Bonaventure Meadows PS. If you have the room to store them, we are asking you to hang onto your “empties” until such a time when it is deemed “safe” to have public gatherings as we would like to host a bottle drive thru. Although this upcoming first long weekend of summer will be unlike what we’re used to experiencing, should you have any “empties” you’re looking to get rid of, please think of us.
Thank you everyone, please continue to stay safe and take care of each other! This article has been viewed 275 times.
